First Steps Bilingual Preschool & Child Care
Nurturing bilingual care for babies 6 weeks to 12 months, with responsive routines, one-on-one attention, and a calm environment where infants can feel safe, comforted, and supported every day.
At First Steps Bilingual Preschool and Childcare, our infant program is designed to provide calm, responsive care during your baby’s earliest months of growth. We welcome infants starting at 6 weeks old and create a warm environment where babies can rest, bond, explore, and develop at their own pace.
Located near Allen Blvd and Murray Blvd in Beaverton, our licensed program combines attentive one-on-one care with age-appropriate sensory experiences, movement, and early language exposure. Throughout the day, babies are gently introduced to English and Spanish through songs, stories, and loving interaction.
Your baby’s safety, comfort, and well-being are at the center of everything we do. We provide a clean, carefully supervised infant environment where families can feel confident their child is receiving thoughtful, professional care.
Families choose our infant program because they want more than a place for their baby to be watched. They want care that feels warm, responsive, and closely aligned with the way their child is supported at home.
Our infant room is designed around the needs of babies in their first year, with gentle support for feeding, soothing, tummy time, rolling, crawling, and early exploration.
Babies hear both English and Spanish through songs, stories, and everyday interaction, creating a natural foundation for listening and early communication.
We offer dependable care that helps families manage real work schedules with more confidence and consistency.
Our infant caregivers provide attentive, relationship-based care with a strong focus on safety, communication, and developmental support.
With a low child to teacher ratio and a home-like environment, your baby receives the nurturing care and connection they need to feel secure.
As your baby grows, we work with your family on the transition to solids in a way that reflects your preferences and pediatric guidance.
All programs include breakfast, lunch, and two snacks (morning and afternoon).
Part-Time
Full-Time
Our infant care program is the first step in a full early childhood journey. As your child grows past 12 months, they can smoothly transition into our toddler care and preschool programs, which continue to offer bilingual learning, creative curriculum, outdoor play, and enrichment like piano and movement classes.
This continuity means your child can stay in a familiar environment from infancy through preschool, with teachers who know them, love them, and understand how they learn best.
Every baby has their own rhythm, and every family has routines that matter. We partner closely with parents so feeding, sleep, soothing, and daily care feel as consistent as possible between home and school.
We partner with you on:
Feeding preferences and schedules
Nap routines and soothing methods
Introduction to solids and self-feeding
Comfort items such as pacifiers, swaddles, or special blankets
Cultural or language preferences at home
Our goal is to support your parenting, not replace it. We treat you as the expert on your baby and build our care around what helps your child feel safe, settled, and understood.
Your baby’s day is shaped around their natural rhythm, with responsive care that supports feeding, rest, comfort, movement, and early exploration. We stay in close communication with families so routines feel familiar and individualized.
Each morning, teachers connect with parents about sleep, feeding, and any updates so we can care for your baby with attention and intention.
Bottles, diaper changes, naps, and soothing are handled with patience and sensitivity, always guided by your baby’s cues.
Babies have safe opportunities to stretch, roll, reach, crawl, and build strength through developmentally appropriate movement.
Soft textures, simple toys, music, and visual stimulation give babies opportunities to explore the world through sight, sound, and touch.
Teachers sing, read, and talk with babies throughout the day in English and Spanish to support listening, bonding, and early language development.
Fresh air and outdoor time help support calm, curiosity, and a gentle change of environment.
Our infant program is a strong fit for families looking for warm, responsive care in a bilingual environment where babies can feel safe, comforted, and supported throughout the day.
